I’m Noelia, responsible for the after-sales department of a multinational company that manufactures equipment for the railway industry. After Brexit, we found that returns coming from the United Kingdom required customs clearance. Raquel informed us about the possibility of applying for an active processing regime and the requirements that needed to be met.
This involved IT changes in the management of returns to ensure full traceability; modifications in the documentation to be submitted to customs; and changes in the collection procedures from the United Kingdom.
Raquel supported us throughout the entire process so that once we were ready, we could request authorization from the customs authorities.
I’m Elisabeth and I work at a company that has a division that repairs or adjusts servomotors, motors, and frequency converters. Many of our clients are outside the European Union, and a customs declaration is required for the entry of the goods. Raquel informed us that these were not temporary imports, as we had thought, since the goods were handled once they arrived at our facilities. This type of operation is called the active processing regime. She explained the requirements of this regime, and from there we were able to evaluate what was most financially and fiscally convenient for the company.
I’m Estela and I work at a company that offers a wide range of packaging machines for different industries and markets.
We asked Raquel to assign the corresponding tariff codes for each of the components that make up our machines. A working group was formed, composed of electronic and mechanical engineers, who provided her with the definitions, characteristics, and uses of each component.
With the information provided, Raquel has been defining each tariff code. As of today, everything is updated, and any changes or new components are incorporated into our system once she has indicated the correct tariff code.
Currently, we are also working with Raquel to apply for Authorized Exporter status with the customs authorities. She has prepared a work plan involving different departments, which will be submitted to the customs authorities once completed.
