In an increasingly demanding global environment, where logistics security and customs efficiency make the competitive difference, becoming an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) has become a mark of trust and business excellence.
At Omnia Aduanas, certified as AEO ES22000032 (EU), we help companies obtain this authorisation, strengthening their security, traceability and international reputation within the global logistics chain.
AEO is a certification granted by the customs authorities of the European Union to companies that demonstrate reliability, regulatory compliance and security control in their logistics and customs operations.
This recognition is part of the SAFE programme of the World Customs Organization (WCO), which aims to create a secure and efficient global logistics chain. Being AEO turns the company into a trusted partner for customs authorities, streamlining its operations and strengthening its international credibility.
There are currently three types of AEO certification, depending on the company’s profile and activity:
For companies that strictly comply with customs regulations and wish to benefit from simplified procedures.
For operators that apply advanced security measures throughout their logistics chain (facilities, transport, access control, etc.).
It brings together both profiles and offers the highest level of recognition, combining customs, tax and logistical advantages.

The choice depends on the company’s activity, its operational volume and its level of integration within the international supply chain.
Obtaining AEO status entails direct benefits in terms of time, costs, control and reputation.
Below are the main advantages:
Customs advantages

Logistical benefits
Tax and financial advantages
International recognition
The certification process requires preparation, but it is achievable with proper management and specialised advice. How do we do it at Omnia Aduanas?
Assessment of the company’s tax, customs and documentary situation.
Preparation of the self-assessment questionnaire, internal policies, security protocols, documentary traceability, and manuals and procedures.
The dossier is prepared in collaboration with the client and the different departments involved. Once completed, it is submitted to the competent customs authority (Customs and Excise Department – AEAT).
AEAT carries out a documentary and on-site audit to verify compliance with all requirements. During this phase, the client is supported throughout the process.
If the outcome is favourable, the AEO authorisation is granted, with indefinite validity, subject to periodic maintenance checks.
